Coastal Scents Revealed 2 Palette!

So i oredered this palette from the states after all the reviews i had heard on you tube about it. The palette was $20.00 in a half price sale and postage was around $17.00 (i think). I received this package around a week and a half after i ordered it and along with it i got some cool free extras! Who doesn't love a freebie ehh?? The extras that came along with the palette consisted of two I LOVE MAKE UP stickers which i think are quite cool, some information on their products and a sample of eye shadows from one of their other palettes. When i first looked at the palette i have to say i was really disappointed by the packaging as it is flimsy and quite cheap looking. However im over that now, I really love the colours in this palette, the pigmentation isn't of the highest quality i have ever used but despite all that i do love this palette... :)

The look i created using my new palette!!

Quick Tutioral...

I have to be honest i had to slightly had to dampen my arm so the top row of swatches were visible. These colours are not as pigmented as i had thought they were going to be as i have heard so much good things about them, however this palette has some GORGEOUS colours and the shadows work very well when used on a damp brush and are very long lasting. In my make up pictures the shadows are used dry.

I used this cream shadow by Benefit in a gold colour to prime my lid...

I then took the top colour (pearly white) and placed the shadow on the inner corners of my eyes. I took the bottom colour (gold) and placed it all over the moving part of the lid.  I packed it on generously.

I took the a pointed brush and applied some of the colour in the top picture in and above the crease, applying it in wiper motion. I repeated this step with the colour from the bottom picture. I wanted this look to be quite dramatic so i blended these shadows high on the brow bone with my MAC 217 blending brush.

I then took a rounded bullet brush and placed black in the outer V of my eye. I placed this using small circular movements and then gently blended it being careful not to drag this black colour to high. I then took a large fluffy blending brush and sweeped this maroon colour that i had previously used in the crease,  above the crease just to give it back any colour i had lost while blending...

With my elf smude bush (LOVE this brush) one by one i placed these colours under the eyes to increase that smudged out dramatic smokey eye effect. As always i used my MAC blacktrack eyeliner to crate a super winged out eyeliner effect.

 COMPLETED LOOK!!

 FESTIVAL MAKE UP !!

As its that time of year when we dig out our wellies, flower head bands and tents, i thought i would share my simple festival make up look with you guys and show you the products i have used to achieve this look.

I went for a purple smokey eye with dramatic liner. Sorry the pictures aren't great quality.

I choose my new go to SLEEK palette to create this look. Taking my MAC 217 blender, i placed this matt pink in and above the crease, bringing it gently up to onto the brow bone. This colour transfers on to the skin in a soft pink shade and is a perfect transition colour. Then taking a soft, flat shadow brush from ELF COSMETICS i packed on a matt white all over my lid. I then took a small pointed crease brush from BLANK CANVAS COSMETICS and picked up a small amount of this burgundy/purple colour and placed it in my crease. Gently applying it in wind wiper motion, back and forth, bringing it higher slightly each stroke until i reached my desired position. I have to mention i LOVE LOVE LOVE this colour in the SLEEK Palette. Its one of my favourite colours at the minute. This palette is available at ESKE PHARMACY Donegal Town. Amazing palette.!! <3

I used this FUSCHIA loose pigment in the number 03 to add a pop of colour to my eyes. I love working with loose pigment. It does require a little extra time and effort but the results are amazing and nearly impossible to achieve with regular eyeshadow. This pigmet is available at BEGLEYS PHARMACY, Donegal Town and i am eager to try out some more in other colours.

I swathed this pigment so you could see properly how vibrant this colour is as my pictures are poor quality and you cant see the intensity in the pictures. The swatch on your left is without the LA SPLASH eyeshadow sealer/base and the swatch on your right is with it. You can clearly see the difference...

I took my LA SPLASH eyeshadow sealer/base and applied it using tapping motions on the lid. Being careful to keep it tidy and not go to far up and leaving the inner corner of my eye free. I then took a firm flat shadow brush, dipped in carefully into the FUSCHIA pigment and tapped of any excess back into the pot. I packed it gently onto my lid. I slowly built up the colour like this and then dusted away and excess of my lid with a fluffy eyeshadow brush. With my small pointed crease brush i applied this black colour at the outer corner of my eye blending it slightly with the purple pigment. Afterwards i applied MAC fluidline in black to my lash line and dragged it out to create a dramatic winged liner.

Taking 3 colours from my SLA palette and my LA SPLASH eyeshadow sealer/base i created the dots around my eyes. I applied the sealer one dot at a time, followed by an eyeshadow. I used a cotton bud (cue tip) to place the eyeshadow on top of the sealer. I alternated the colours. I would also like to mention that the LA SPLASH sealer is a key product in this look and works incredibly with loose pigment.

My entire make up never budged a bit all day and night!! Hope you can guys like this look and i would love to see your photos of any recreated looks. I will leave links below of the places you guys can find the products used in my post. Any questions please leave a comment ;)

Happy Festival season everyone :) <3
