Its a Steal

I've been looking like a crazy woman for eye glitter for a while now and found it difficult finding what i want without spending a fortune.I came across this new (to me) product called LA Splash. There selection of glitter pots and eye dust pigment caught my eye. The pots of glitter cost  7.99 per pot and the eyeshadow sealer base also costs  7.99 Both products are very reasonable compared to other brands. Then i spotted this set, with four colours. Gold, silver, black and purple. Fantastic news for me as i wanted them all. This set also contained the glue/eyeshadow base. And it cost only  19.99. These pots of glitter are the perfect size and will literally last you forever. The amount of different looks you can achieve with the glitter alone is endless. They have a wide range of colours in both the set and to buy individually. The eyeshadow sealer base is on another level. This stuff is amazing and i don't know how i haven't heard of it before. Rather than tell you i'm going to show you.

Above each line is two swatches of the same shadow. The one on the right of each set of swatches i used the glue/eyeshadow base under the eyeshadow and the one on the left i didn't use it. As you can see the swatches on the left of every line is barely visable and the ones on the right are much brighter and visible. The first pinky tone shadow is from rimmel, the second white shadow is also rimmel and the third one is a wee shadow from essence. Although these eyeshadow weren't all that expensive so i can really complain, i do really like the colours but they are pretty useless when they aren't visible and no way vibrant.

I would apply this on the moving part of the lid as a final step to my eyeshadow routine, and my shadow of choice on top of it. This is also perfect for adding that wee pop of colour or sparkle to the inner corner of your eye. and not only does this work wonders on poorly pigmented eyeshadow it also works amazing with the higher end and amazingly pigmented shadows. Below i swatched a shadow from the urban decay naked 3 palette. Although these shadow are so fabulous they don't need any help it does make them appear alot more vibrant and striking  and will keep your eyeshadow in place all day & night!!

You can find La Splash here in Eske Pharmacy in Donegal Town or Eske Pharmacy Facebook page. They have a nice wee range of products and are very reasonable in price. Another thing that caught my eye was the colour liquid liners. Call in to Eske Pharmacy and see for yourselves. Some cool wee products. I'll definitely be expanding my collection with more LA Splash cosmetics and soon. Will keep you guys updated. And let me know if you guys would like to see some of my pictures of make ups using the glitter pots!

Touch of Turquoise

Magical, Dreamy, Unique, Beautiful <3

So i started of by priming the entire eyelid using urban decays primer potion. Next i took a small crease brush and placed LIMIT from urban decays naked 3 palette in the crease of the eyelid and blended up wards and out wards & back and fourth. Then using the same brush i took NOONER also from the same eye shadow palette and again placed it in the crease and blended it over and back and slightly above the crease but not taking it as far up as i took LIMIT i used these two colours in this particular technique to create dimension. I then took a flat  fluffy shadow brush and placed STRANGE all over the lid, i used this as a base for my next colour, a white shadow in the colour WHITE LIE which i took from my Too Faced palette and again placed it all over the lid (moving part of the eyelid) using the same fluffy flat brush.

.

Next i took a wet small round eyeliner brush and a turquoise shadow and placed it in the corner of my eye dragging it inwards onto the lid and also lining the bottom inner corner. I used a a silver glitter liner to add a bit of sparkle and also create more focus on the inner corner. I then went back to the outer third of the eye, and with a small bullet brush i placed FACTORY & DARKSIDE again from the naked 3 palette, applying it in small circular movements. I then took my MAC 217 blending brush and with a light hand blended all the outer colours together and dragging them gently inwards in the crease. I then took my bullet brush again and applied SMOLDER shadow from my Too Faced palette in the outer V and repeated this step with BLACKHEART from the Naked 3 palette. And using a light hand blended these colours in small circular movements. After that i used my Gel fluidline eyeliner and a small angled brush and created a wing.

For the lower lash line i took a smudge brush by ELF and from the outer corner i applied FACTORY and stopped 2/3 of the way in, i repeated this step with DARKSIDE and lastly using a small angled eyeliner brush i applied BLACKHEART as close to the lash line as possible. I then applied my clients lashes and mascara and to finish off i gently highlighted under the brow with STRANGE and sprayed Urban Decays All nighter setting spray.

I hope you guys enjoyed this look. If you try it out please be sure to tag me in your photos and if you have any questions on products or queries on achieving this look please drop me a comment.

Billion Dollar Brow Review at Envie Beauty Salon

So unlike most of the rest of the world, i never really dived into the HD Brow craze. I couldn't justify spending that much money on my eye brows. Although i have seen photos all over social media of how important eyebrows really are and the way in which they frame your face, i never fully understood the depth of that until i experienced it myself.

Whilst chatting with a beautician and business partner at Envie Beauty Salon in Dungloe, Jamie and I fell onto the subject of BILLION DOLLAR BROWS.

A treatment i hadn't heard of before i saw Envies BDB before & after photos. Which is shocking considering Billion Dollar Brows is the latest treatment sweeping LA and in fact spreading world wide. Billion Dollar Brows is a celebrity treatment endorsed by Lauren Conrad, The Kardashian's, Paula Abdul to name but a few.

I will say i was very intrigued to learn how this procedure was carried out. Billion Dollar Brows is a full brow treatment that uses a variety of steps to achieve a desired brow shape. Brows are measured using the Brow Buddy to show a client where
eyebrows should start, arch and end, leaving each client with their
own unique shape perfect for that individual.

The time and skill that goes into each brow is really worth every cent. The day of waxing the strays and plucking stragglers are long gone. This past year and this new year ahead is definitely the years of the eyebrows. And not only is this treatment fabulous for us busy brow babes but in my opinion it is compulsory for the category of poor creators lacking in the eyebrow hair compartment. Like a lot of women in and around my mothers age group, plucking away at every hair in sight has took its toll on the hair growth. Some ladies have very little to none.

The fabulous girls at Envie Beauty Salon have a separate BDB treatment that can aid in hair growth or with the BDB treatment alone create the illusion of thicker fuller brows without leaving a harsh fake line.

Billion Dollar Brows (BDB) are excellent for anyone who
have over tweezed, over waxed, have gaps in their brow or brows
that won’t grow!!!

If you haven't yet give in, then you really don't know what your missing. I love My BDB and i will definitely not be going back to neglecting my brows. Please note that it is my preference to have thick full brows. I had a choice of three thicknesses and i choose the thickest.

As i am aware that will not be to everyone's taste so don't worry if you prefer them thinner or not as dark as mine, as you will be talked through the producer step by step and given a choice on the final appearance of your fabulous new BILLION DOLLAR BROWS.

Here's a gentle reminder why you should book an appointment or a consultation with the lovely ladies at Envie Beauty salon and don't worry if distance is an issue as these ladies are flexible and willing to travel. Click here to Contact Envie Beauty Salon on Facebook!!
